About

OMRRA, the Oregon Motorcycle Roadracing Association, is recognized as the Pacific Northwest's premier motorcycle roadracing organization. Established in 1972 and based in Portland, Oregon, OMRRA is dedicated to running safe, exciting, and competitive events for motorcycle road racers and their fans. Their offerings include comprehensive race schedules, registration, competition, and championship events, alongside management of rules and classes. While the organization is primarily focused on racing, practice sessions are also available for registered race participants.

The organization serves a wide range of rider skill levels, from club-level enthusiasts to professionals with national and international experience. For those new to motorcycle roadracing, OMRRA provides a structured Novice Racer School, which is explicitly integrated into their event schedule, such as at Round 1 for the 2025 season. OMRRA operates its race events across prominent tracks in the Pacific Northwest, including its main base at Portland International Raceway (PIR), which is described as a city park and world-class racetrack. They also host rounds at The Ridge and Pacific Raceways.

What makes OMRRA distinctive is its long-standing history and experience, having continuously operated since 1972, providing over five decades of competitive motorcycle roadracing. They emphasize creating a thrilling and competitive environment for racers of all levels, from those just starting out to highly experienced professionals. This longevity, coupled with their commitment to safety and competition at well-regarded tracks in the Pacific Northwest, establishes OMRRA as a significant and well-respected entity in the region's motorsport community.
