About

The Central Roadracing Association (CRA) is the Midwest's premier non-profit motorcycle road racing club, established in 1970 and run entirely by a volunteer board and staff. Its mission is to foster the sport of motorcycle road racing by providing the safest, most affordable, and fun environment possible. The CRA hosts race weekends featuring events like Single Sprints, Trophy Dashes, and the prestigious Framstad Cup, along with practice days. They cater to a full spectrum of motorcycle road racers, offering dedicated new racer information, license preparation, and a "new rider weekend" package, alongside annual memberships for returning competitors.

Operating primarily in the Midwest, the CRA's home track is Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) in Minnesota, where they typically utilize the 2.5-mile Competition Course. For their 2026 season, the organization is expanding to include six race weekends, with four at BIR and two destination rounds. These destination events are scheduled at Blackhawk Farms Raceway (BFR) and Motorsports Park Hastings (MPH). For those new to the sport, the CRA offers a New Racers School, license preparation, and New Racer FAQs to help individuals get started and progress in motorcycle road racing.
