Area 27
About
Area 27 is an exclusive, membership-based luxury motorsports club located in Oliver, British Columbia, within the South Okanagan region. Founded in 2013 by Bill Drossos, Jacques Villeneuve, Trevor Seibert, and David King, the organization offers access to a world-class motorsport circuit, driving experiences, and curated member events. The facility includes a 4.83km (3 mile) track, which opened in 2016, notable as the first and only track over two miles constructed west of Ontario. Designed with natural elevation changes and diverse corners, the circuit is set amidst the scenic landscapes of British Columbia’s wine country, characterized by Canada’s warmest climate. Area 27 also operates a Kartplex and a "Birds of Prey Off-Road Circuit."
Area 27 caters to all skill levels through its various academies, including Academy 27 for precision driving, a ZR2 Off-Road Academy, a Motorcycle Academy, and an Open Wheel Academy. Academy 27, powered by an expanded partnership with General Motors, provides expert coaching from professional instructors, offering hands-on training in elite performance vehicles or personal cars. Novice drivers can achieve intermediate certification after a 2.5-day Academy 27 course, with an additional day of coaching leading to advanced level certification. The organization also hosts Club Racing and aims to facilitate various motorsport events, including vintage racing, sports cars, and motorcycle racing, typically operating its circuit from April to the end of October.
